# knowtune
A music quiz in the style of Hitster, right in the browser: a song plays, you guess its release year and build your own musical timeline. The first to place 10 cards correctly wins.
How to play
- Each card shows year, title and artist on the front and a QR code on the back.
- The DJ scans the top card with a smartphone and the song plays via Spotify or Apple Music.
- The next player places the card in their timeline: before, after or in between. If the year fits, it stays.
- Coins: bonus for naming artist and title, call “Slot!” to steal a misplaced card, joker for 3 coins.
Game modes
- Standard – the classic for everyone.
- High Roller – call your slot first; a hit earns a coin, a miss costs one.
- Jackpot Master – years get covered, so you have to remember your timeline.
- Syndicate – everyone together against the game: one shared timeline of 15 songs.
Your own cards
In the generator you create your own song lists, search for songs, edit title, artist and year, and share lists as JSON. It turns them into a print-ready card set with QR codes. Front and back are fully customisable (colours, shadows, background image), printed on consecutive pages or for folding and gluing.
